Andrew founded the firm and brings over 20 years of financial, corporate and political communications experience to Greenbrook. He started his career working on political campaigns in both the UK and United States and was formerly a UK Government Special Advisor.
Andrew has developed leading expertise in advising global investment businesses on all areas of communications and risk management. He is an expert on issues such as exit and investment activity, fundraising, activism, partnership issues, advice to portfolio companies, ESG issues, tax investigations, judicial inquiries, and civil/criminal proceedings.
Prior to founding the business in February 2012, Andrew was a member of the Executive Committee at News UK (News International), advising the company following the phone-hacking crisis.
Andrew is also a trustee of The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity and is a Governor at Lambrook School.
Michelle Pinggera joined Greenbrook as an Advisor in July 2018.
She has enjoyed a successful 28-year career at Goldman Sachs, where before stepping down last year, she was international chief of staff and head of the executive office for the bank in Europe and Asia-Pacific. She was responsible for managing reputational issues affecting the bank and its brand, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and communicating the bank’s strategy.
Michelle started her Goldman Sachs career in the finance department, before becoming the COO for the Securities Division in Europe. She oversaw a number of bolt-on acquisitions and the development of several new businesses, helping build Goldman’s presence in Russia and the Middle East, and has lived and worked in New York, Frankfurt and Hong Kong as well as London.
Michelle was involved on behalf of Goldman Sachs in the government-backed review of why women are under-represented in the financial services sector. In addition to her City experience, Michelle is a trustee of the Mayors Fund for London, and a trustee of the Princes Trust and the Princes Trust International.
David joined Greenbrook as an Advisor in 2014. He currently works as an adviser to a number of entities on shareholder engagement and corporate governance, having previously been Vice Chairman of Knight Vinke, one of Europe’s largest and best known activist investment firms. David holds a variety of non-executive and advisory roles including being a Member of the Advisory Board of the Centre For Corporate Governance at the Institute of Directors as well as being an investor in, and Non-Executive Director of, an unquoted technology company.
Prior to his current roles, David has had a 25-year career in investment banking and financial communications. He spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley in senior posts in equity sales and investment banking in Europe and Asia and was latterly a London-based Managing Director in Equity Capital Markets and Head of Corporate Broking. David also spent six years at one of London’s leading capital markets communications advisory firms where he advised many of the firm’s most significant relationships on complex capital markets communications. He graduated from Cambridge University, with a degree in Economics.
Simon joined Greenbrook as an Advisor in March 2017, bringing extensive knowledge of the financial and private equity sectors. His previous positions have included Communications Secretary to HM Queen Elizabeth II, advisor to former Prime Minister John Major, senior roles at Reuters and British Airways and Chief Executive of the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association.
Following five years as the Director General of the Institute of Directors, Simon has been appointed as a senior non-executive in the UK Government’s new Department for International Trade.
Simon was awarded a CBE in the 2017 New Year Honours list.
Teresa is part of Greenbrook’s consultant team and works across a range of private equity and hedge fund clients.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Teresa worked in Geneva as an educational consultant. She also undertook roles in public administration and diplomacy in Paris and worked on the World News Media Congress in Washington, D.C.
Teresa graduated from the University of Oxford with a dual undergraduate degree in French and Linguistics.
Fanni works with a wide range of investment firms including private equity, hedge funds and private debt clients, advising them on issues including profile raising, transactions, fundraising, reputation management, special situations, and digital communications. Fanni also has experience advising investment firms on communications around responsible investing and ESG best practice, and leads Greenbrook’s internal sustainability efforts.
She joined Greenbrook from another communications firm where she worked for international clients in the financial services sector. She previously undertook roles at an institution under the auspices of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization in China, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hungary.
Fanni studied International Relations in Budapest and spent two years studying and working in China. She is a native Hungarian speaker and has advanced knowledge of Mandarin and Italian.
Theo is a member of Greenbrook’s associate team working across a range of private equity, hedge fund and private debt clients.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Theo worked as an account executive at a global asset and wealth management firm. He has also worked with the Investor Relations team at a private equity house.
Theo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Geography from Bristol University, as well as a Masters in Emerging Economies and International Development from King’s College London.
Patrick is a member of Greenbrook’s associate team and works across a range of private equity and hedge fund clients.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Patrick worked in commercial and private banking as an analyst in a large-scale remediation project focused on the treatment of small and medium-size enterprises during the financial crisis.
Patrick holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Politics and Spanish from the University of Bath.
Catriona joined Greenbrook in 2018 and advises a broad range of clients, including a number of private equity, private credit, hedge fund, and real assets clients. She has experience working on issues relating to profile management, M&A communications, supporting fundraisings and new launches, digital communications, special situations and ESG.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Catriona completed placements at art institutions including Christie’s, where she worked on the research and marketing for upcoming auctions.
Catriona holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Combined Honours in History of Art, Italian, Classics and English from Durham University, as well as a Masters with Distinction in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art.
Matthew works with a variety of leading private equity firms and hedge funds, advising them on a range of issues, with a particular focus on capital deployment, M&A, and fundraising. He also has significant expertise in advising on special situations, such as restructurings and activist campaigns.
He joined Greenbrook after a successful journalism career, including 13 years on the business section of The Sunday Times, reporting on industries including private equity, leisure, consumer goods, retail and pharmaceuticals. His other previous reporting roles include four years at the Sunday Business newspaper. Matthew holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Leeds.
John joined Greenbrook in 2015 and advises a wide variety of investment firms, including private equity and credit firms; traditional asset managers; as well as hedge funds and activist investors. He has expertise in profile management and messaging development; M&A communications; supporting fundraisings and new launches; and digital communications.
John also has considerable experience of working on special situations, including prominent activist campaigns, litigation, restructurings, and high-profile investment positions.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, John graduated from BPP Law School with a distinction in his legal practice course, where he specialised in M&A, debt finance and Intellectual property, and also holds a LLB Law Degree from the University of Sussex. During his studies, he founded and ran an online news platform for young professionals.
Millie is a Team Assistant, supporting our Partners, Alex Jones and Rob White, and the broader Greenbrook team.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Millie worked as a sales administrator at interior design company Turnell and Gigon. She also has events management experience through the Bolesworth Estate, where she worked across the marketing and administration teams. Millie also did administrative work experience at WPP, the advertising group.
Millie holds an Executive PA Diploma, with Distinction Honours, from Oxford Media & Business School.
Alex is an expert in corporate, financial and digital communications, with a specialism in the private capital industry. He is highly experienced in advising on investor relations and LP communications; GP market positioning; communicating ESG and value creation; deal communications; and managing reputational risk. He has worked on numerous M&A transactions and many of the industry’s most complex issues, including corporate and sovereign debt restructurings, public-to-privates, challenging fundraises, partnership disputes, and litigation.
Previously, Alex was a Senior Analyst at Preqin, the world’s leading alternative assets research house. He also worked in the Financial and Professional Services practice at Capital MSL, where he advised a wide range of international clients, including traditional and alternative asset managers, family offices, law firms and banks.
He holds an MA in Medieval History from the University of York.
Shaleen is an Executive Assistant, supporting Greenbrook’s Managing Partner, Andrew Honnor. Previously, she worked at tech security company Callsign Inc. as Operations Manager and EA to the CEO. At Callsign, she helped build and retain the team as well as overseeing projects including implementing new systems and event marketing.
Shaleen also has experience in media and professional services, working for both 360 Leaders, the international executive search firm, and the company’s media arm Hot Topics. It was here that she planned and executed a highly successful worldwide event series whilst also providing support to the directors and the CEO.
Shaleen has a BA in Performance Art and Theatre History from Staffordshire University.
Samantha was part of the team that founded Greenbrook in 2012. In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Sam oversees day-to-day operations of the firm including human resources, finance, marketing, internal communications, events and project management.
Sam previously spent four years at MF Global, a US-based brokerage, working in the corporate communications team covering Europe and Asia. In this role, she was responsible for corporate events, internal communications and market commentary.
Sam was also an assistant to Jon Corzine, former President and CEO of MF Global.
James has considerable experience in advising investment firms of all sizes on the ongoing management, protection and promotion of their reputation. Having worked in both London and the Middle East, James’ clients have included some of the world’s most prominent investment firms in the UK, Europe, US and GCC.
James has extensive expertise in advising on firm and fund launches, restructurings, management succession, digital communications, ESG and sustainable investment strategies, as well as issues / crisis management. James also has considerable experience advising on complex M&A, public-to-private transactions and sovereign debt restructurings.
In addition to advising investment firms, James has also worked with listed and private companies from the financial and professional services, telecoms, energy and retail industries, often during periods of critical change.
Rhianna is a member of Greenbrook’s associate team and works across a range of private equity, hedge fund and private debt clients.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Rhianna worked for a London-based specialist communications firm where she advised clients within the financial services, property, and healthcare sectors. She has experience in crisis and issues management, stakeholder communications, media relations, executive and corporate profiling, and social media management.
Rhianna holds a BA honours in Psychological and Behavioural Sciences from the University of Cambridge, Fitzwilliam College.
Mikaela has more than a decade of experience in corporate communications, focusing on the financial services sector. She is highly experienced in aligning corporate messaging with the broader ESG agenda; reputation management; crisis communications and digital strategies.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Mikaela worked over six years as a Director of Communications & ESG at IK Investment Partners, a leading European private equity firm. She is certified in GRI Standards, and has experience of UN PRI and UN Global Compact reporting frameworks.
Mikaela holds a MSc in Business and Economics and a MA in Political Science from Stockholm University, and is completing a digital marketing programme at Oxford Saïd Business School. She is fluent in Swedish and English, and has good knowledge of Spanish.
In addition, Mikaela is a trustee of Trajectory Theatre, a charity dedicated to digital performance and immersive art.
Daniel has advised private equity firms and hedge funds on a broad range of issues and special situations, including international bondholder disputes, complex restructurings and insolvencies, litigation and shareholder activism. He also has experience advising on transactions, fundraisings, fund launches, ESG matters and digital communications.
Daniel joined Greenbrook from business finance start-up MarketFinance, where he was responsible for handling media relations and public affairs, including supporting several rounds of venture capital fundraising.
He graduated from Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford with a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature & Language.
Alexandre is part of Greenbrook’s associate team, and works across a range of private equity, hedge fund and private debt clients.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Alex carried out a number of internships and work placements in the legal and real estate sectors in the UK, France and Switzerland.
Alexandre completed his Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Law, Moorgate and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Warwick. He is a native French and English speaker and has a high proficiency level in Spanish.
Michael Russell joins Greenbrook’s senior team as a Director, with experience spanning financial and corporate communications, as well as investor relations. Michael previously worked at a leading financial communications agency in London for over six years, supporting a broad range of public and private clients in financial services and other industries. Michael has extensive expertise advising clients on a wide variety of mandates, from IPO and transaction communications, to financial calendar activity and crisis communications. Michael began his career as analyst at an investment manager specialising in infrastructure debt.
Tatiana is a member of Greenbrook’s associate team and works across a range of private equity, hedge fund and private debt clients.
Prior to joining Greenbrook, Tatiana carried out a number of internships and work placements in the communications sector and at a London-based private equity firm.
Tatiana holds a Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Bath.
Rob joined Greenbrook soon after its formation. He advises global investment firms on all aspects of their reputation and provides counsel on a range of issues including M&A transactions, fundraisings, high-profile investments, investor and internal communications, digital strategies, ESG, and crisis management.
He has particularly strong expertise in issues relevant to hedge funds and activist investors and has advised on many high-profile engaged shareholder campaigns in Europe. In addition, Rob serves on the committee for the SOHN Conference Foundation London.
Rob holds a First-Class BSc in Business Administration from The University of Bath and a MSc in Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation from Jesus College, Oxford and was Head of Media for the Oxford Union.
